De-Worm is a single-dose worm treatment containing the active ingredient Mebendazole, which can be used by the whole family. One tablet per person for those aged two years or older will eliminate intestinal pinworm/threadworm.
The active ingredient in De-Worm is Mebendazole. This is an anthelmintic agent, which means it is designed to destroy parasitic intestinal worms. It works by inhibiting worms’ ability to absorb sugars. It does this by interfering with the proteins in either the worm’s intestine or its absorptive cells, therefore starving it of the energy necessary to survive.
De-Worm orange flavoured tablets containing of 100mg of Mebendazole are available in a pack of 6 or 24 tablets. Each tablet treats one person. De-Worm tablets are sugar and preservative free. |
Dosage | Adults and children over 2 years: | Take one tablet, once. De-Worm tablets can be swallowed whole, chewed or crushed into a teaspoon of food. |

Caution De-worm should not be taken by children under two years of age and it should not be taken during pregnancy. If you are unsure about either of these restrictions then you should consult with a health professional. You should not take De-worm if you are allergic to, or have a hypersensitivity to, any of its ingredients. Caution is also suggested if you suffer from acute liver disease or are taking the anti-ulcer medication Cimetidine. In either of these cases, long-term treatment with mebendazole can lead to an excessive plasma concentration in the blood when the liver does not breakdown the mebendazole sufficiently. Caution should also be taken if you using the anticonvulsant Carbamazepine. |
